Magic Milk Innertube Original

This is perfect to have with you when you are away on your bike. Being able to quickly put this into your tyres to fix punctures up to 4mm in size, instead of having to instantly change the tyre is amazing. It takes up considerably less time and effort to use this Magic Milk, it works by the liquid filling the hole and solidifying on contact with the air. It's not a permanent fix but it will last a while and is definitely a really quick and easy fix. The 250ml bottle is perfect to take with you in a bag.

Amazon Vine Review – Product Received for FreeThis is the “Original” version of the sealant the bottle doesn’t make it clear whether you’re supposed to use the full amount per tyre, but it seems to be a preventative sealant that sits inside the tube and seals small punctures automatically.This one says it seals up to 4mm punctures and is suitable for all types of bike tyres — including kids’ bikes, electric bikes and foldable ones. The setup looks easy enough, especially as it comes with the tools.I couldn’t test it on my son’s bike because he already had sealant-filled tyres, so it wasn’t suitable to mix. But as a product, it’s lightweight, easy to carry in a bike kit and looks like it would be helpful for the usual small punctures you pick up from thorns or debris.For someone who doesn’t want to keep patching tubes the old-fashioned way, this seems like a convenient option.

Priced at £12 for a bottle.I can compare this to "slime" which I use quite regularly. In fact some of my bike tyres are probably more slime than tyre at this point.Self sealing liquid sealant like this is so useful and this product works as well as others I've used before. I used this to repair a hole in a tyre which isn't currently on a bike but I knew had a small slow puncture. I pushed in about 150ml of this stuff in which was quite easy to do and pumped it up. After a few minutes I could tell in a bucket of water that the hole stopped leaking.I deflated it, put it back on the bike and reinflated it and its held firm ever since.As far as I can tell this is good stuff and works in the same way as other similar products. Its priced a bit higher but probably is easier to use.

This is a bit of a difficult product to review because I will only know if it's any good should I get a puncture and this keeps the tyre from going down, I have used other tube sealants before and could easy say that they are brilliant because I have never had a puncture, but that's because I never did, I quite often would remove a tyre and check the tube and no sign of sealant apart from out of the valve when deflating, until one day when I did, just a thorn but the sealant (not this brand I may add) did not work, instead the tyre just went flat, I pumped it up, rotated the wheel to try and get the sealant to seal the the hole but half a mile down the road and the tyre was flat, lucky for me I carry a spare tube and was able to swap it over and continue my ride, but the sealant was everywhere , in the rim inside the tyre just a mess.This magic milk is easy enough to get into the tube, I have a 250mm bottle which for my 26" wheel is enough to do both tubes, if your a weight conscious rider then this will add a bit of weight to the bike, but it will give you a little confidence that should you get something in the tyre it might stay up and not interrupt your ride, but then again it might not, so carry a spare innertube just in case, you might get something big in the tyre or even a pinch flat that is too big for sealants of any type to seal.

Having used there sealant before I had no qualms in trying this handy sized bottle, only negative was trying to work out how the lid adapter worked which attaches to the valve.Great to carry on multi day trips for repairs on the move.

I've used slime before in my bike tyres, so I have some experience, but I found the "innovative" cap and tube more confusing (the pictogram instructions over-simplify) and haven't managed to use this in a presta style valve yet. Perhaps my presta valve doesn't have a removable core? I've never found one like that before, but I certainly hurt my fingers a lot trying to get it out, and the magic milk cap tool did nothing helpful.

I've been using this sealant for a while now, and its effectiveness is impressive. The ease of use makes it simple to apply, and I appreciate the quality it brings to my rides. The size is convenient for refilling, and it fits perfectly in my workshop. I've noticed a significant reduction in flats thanks to its functionality, so I can ride without worry.

My MTBs have had a tubeless setup for many years but my grandson is using inner tubes and after a few thorn punctures I thought I would try Magic Milk Innertube Original Tyre Sealant. The concept reminds me of slime tubes but has the advantage of being refillable and usable in your current inner tube, there is no need to buy new tubes. It comes with the OKO Cap which makes injecting Magic Milk into an innertube a simple job with almost no mess. After a few rides I removed the innertube and noticed a couple of spots where a thorn or similar had punctured the inner tube, but due to the Magic Milk he was completely unaware and able to ride on. Clearly Magic Milk is not going to seal a sidewall cut or deep gashes but it will stop thorns which are the most common cause of punctures when riding a MTB.

I'm in an interesting position. I want to review the Magic Milk innertube sealant I've just poured into my bike tyres, but how will I know if it works. It is difficult to prove a negative. If a tyre does not go down is it because the sealant has worked its magic, or is it because I have been lucky and avoided punctures?I ordered the 250ml tube which is enough for two 26 inch tyres. Application is straightforward. I simply upended my bike and removed the valve cores. The procedure to follow is shown in cartoon form on the side of the Magic Milk tube. Twist the green cap and pull up. A 4" long tube emerges and whether you have Schrader or Presta valves determines which way to use the nozzle in the green cap. Pictures of the two types of valves are provided in case you are uncertain. The hardest thing was squeezing only half the tube into one inner tube. Replace valve core, I then added a little bit of air before spinning the wheel to spread the goo, and finally inflating to my normal pressure.I write "goo", but it is a water based sealant and is apparently easy to clean up and will not damage rubber, or the meatal in a bike rim. It will also seal holes up to 4mm (but I am not clear if this is diameter or square.) As my punctures as almost invariably thorns, which I find by running my finger around inside a tyre, 4mm is much bigger than anything I have experienced.I am not sure for how long a tyre with sealant will be protected. There is mention of a "season". We'll see. There is a great saving to be made buying the 5 litre bottle, but I am hoping I only need the one tube for my two tyres. of note, the sealant I ordered was for innertubes. There is a different formulation for tubeless tyres. Fingers crossed I never need to edit this review.

The container/ applicator for this extremely useful product is very well thought out. It has clear instructions and claims to work with a most types of valve (presta valves must have removable cores!).I always add a sealant to my inner tubes - a great insurance policy against punctures.I really like this products, but can only give 4 stars, since (thankfully) I haven't had a puncture to test its efficacy.
