Magic Milk Innertube BioBike

My son's bike doesn’t have tubeless tyres like mine and occasionally he has had a few punctures whilst out riding. I wasn’t aware that this product existed until I was looking for replacement milk for my own tubeless tyres. It’s a neat idea and like other products made by Magic Milk, the bottle offers good value for money and the applicator is very easy to use on both prester and Schrader valves. Its about a 10 minute job to use the green header tool to remove your valve (just the one tool is needed for either type of valve) use the nozzle applicator to squeeze in the liquid and then replace the valve again and repump up the tyre. The liquid is really good at sealing any small punctures (it says up to 6mm). Its thick enough to coat the tyre but thin enough to easy pour in. There is a viewing window down the side that shows you how mcuh of the liquid you have used so you can match it to your tyre size. So far it seems fairly durable, I'd have been happy if it just got us home without having to change the inner but it seems to be holding up a few rides later.

I have to say that I have tried quite a few of these tyre sealants and most of the time it’s never worked well enough to keep you moving and not have to stop and repair the puncture or keep pumping more air into the tyre until you reach your destination and then you can finally fix the puncture.I did my usual stuck the bottle in my rucksack and completely forgot to insert some solution into the inner tube. On getting my bike out of my car as I drive halfway and cycle the rest, I discovered that I had a full flat tyre on the rear. I immediately pumped air and heard the hiss from the tyre and quickly located the puncture. Rather than spending ages changing out the inner tube I took out the magic milk. Removed the valve in my presta inner tube and plugged in the tube and started to squeeze solution into the inner tube.I then inserted the valve and started pumping. Initially the puncture started hissing but I spun the peddles and got the back wheel flying round. To my amazement the hissing stopped. I pumped up the tyre to 100 PSI and it held, no hissing at all.I then cycled all the way into work, 12 miles with the tyre going down ever so slightly but not enough to warrant me to stop and add more air.Very impressive performance from the sealant. It really has worked out and I’m going to leave alone to see how long the repair lasts before I have to replace the inner tube.The bottle of magic milk has levels written down the label seam so you can see how much to fill the inner tube with.It fitted over the valve perfectly and although I didn’t use the tool supplied with the bottle to remove the inner tube valve as I have a very good tool in my repair set, I’m sure I could have used the one supplied on the lid to remove it without issues.Overall very impressed and highly recommend.

The bottle itself suggests it stays active for the entire lifespan of the tyre or inner tube once it’s inside, but it doesn’t explain how much you’re actually supposed to use at once, which makes things a little confusing.From what I can gather, this seems more like something you either carry with you for emergencies (to seal a puncture on the go) or something you can put inside the tyre ahead of time as a preventative. If it is intended as a single full-bottle use, it does work out quite expensive at £14.40 for 250 ml — especially considering you can buy tyres pre-filled with similar sealant for around £8. But if it turns out to be multi-use, that obviously makes the price a bit more reasonable.The bottle design itself is actually very handy. The nozzle makes it easy to apply, and it’s small enough to slip into a cycling bag if you want it for emergencies. It also states it seals punctures up to 6 mm and is latex-free, ammonia-free and hypoallergenic, which is great for anyone who reacts badly to the usual sealant formulas.Annoyingly, my son actually had a puncture the morning this arrived, but we couldn’t use it because he already has tyres that come pre-filled with a similar goo. So I can’t comment on performance yet — but in terms of design and portability, it definitely seems practical.Overall: potentially a good product, but the unclear instructions and pricing make it hard to judge. Clearer guidance on how much to use per tyre would make a big difference.

Priced at £14.40I thought the regular magic milk was relatively okay for the environment but this eco version says it is plant and mineral based but without using palm oil or latex. I've tested it out on a spare tire I had which I deliberately put a nail hole in. It sealed it up in the same way as I've seen with other liquid sealant products and seemed comparable to other magic milk that I've used.Without waiting 6 months its hard to tell whether riding on this it will be as hard wearing or responsive for heat/cold as the non eco version. For those that really care about the environment though this is definitely a safer choice.

I got this to try as part of some routine maintenance for a small kids bike and I'm honestly impressed with the easiness of using this kit.I was unsure about the amount I would need for the tyres so got the 250ml as they are only 18 inch wheels… as it happens the recommendation wasn’t as much as I expected on this size tyre so had plenty left over.The bottle is easy to use and well thought out with a clear ml measuring window along the side that makes it easy to see how much you have injected I into the tyre. - the cap doubles as a valve removal tool for all types of valves, more on this in a moment, the connection into the valve creates a strong seal against the valve so no leaking when adding Magic Milk.I love that this is Bio Degrading, and that it copes with larger punctures up to 6mm that’s plenty for any biker.The only downside is that the lid as spoke of doubles as a valve removal tool, however because of the “wings”… it can make it a little hard to get into smaller tyres with the spokes, I was able to just about get a purchase on an 18” wheel to remove the valve enough, On the second tyre, I removed the tube from the wheel before adding the milk and replaced the value before rebuilding the tyre back together and inflating it.Overall, very good value and hopefully no more punctures, I will update this if anything changes.

Any time of year for me is usually a nightmare for cycling as I travel through lots of lanes and off-road areas that as soon as hedge cutting has been done are strewn with hard to see twigs full of thorns and spikes - but winter time is the worst time to be fixing punctures or swapping out tubes at the roadside when your hands are wet and cold!This winter, I've not had a single puncture issue thanks to - I hope! - this Magic Milk sealant.It's easy to apply, and it seems to work wonders. And although I've had no air loss, I can actually see (and have removed) several thorns from my tyres.Everything just works... this isn't the first brand of sealer I've tried, but so far I'm impressed... I've never gone out with this much confidence.Better still, the price is good, and it's biodegradable!Thumbs-up!

I’m genuinely impressed. I picked up a small puncture out on the trail and the sealant plugged it up instantly. No messing about, no dramatic air loss, just a quick, clean seal that let me keep riding. Reliability is the most important thing, and this delivered.The other thing that really stood out was the bottle design. It's properly sized, meaning it’s actually convenient to throw into my pack and carry around. Too many products are only designed for the workshop, but this makes a quick on-the-go top-up or emergency fix easy and relatively clean.Overall, this BioBike sealant is a solid piece of kit. It keeps the tyres rolling and it’s genuinely portable. If you’re a rider who values performance over fuss, then you should absolutely give this a try. Recommended.

Great tubeless tyre sealant for bikes. This has a revolutionary locking top that fits onto the tyre valve to make it easy to use. No need for the usual syringe method, just fit to the valve and squeeze the liquid in after a good shake. Spin the tyre, reinflate and off you go. I have used MM before but the addition of the easy application nozzle means this can go out with me on my rides as it's small enough to fit in by small rucksack. Brilliant!
